Visiting @dvrisehigh today to meet with our Lumenary, principal Naomi Lara. Just so happened that we had some electronics kits to donate and they had a recent request for some.

Our next reader for the LMS Book Club. ⁠

Last week, we had the privilege of joining Brad Wright, the Technology Director at Westside Neighborhood School, as he generously donated multiple boxes of LEGO robotics equipment to Alex Hernandez's classroom at Lennox Middle School. Alex will utilize this gently used equipment to enhance the robotics course experience for his sixth-grade students.⁠

We are thrilled to announce our newest Lumenary, Naomi Lara, Principal of Da Vinci RISE High, an extraordinary school that provides much-needed support to students facing a range of life challenges.⁠

Today marks the anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066, which led to the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. As we remember this dark chapter in our nation's history, I think of my mom and dad, who were among the more than 120,000 individuals forcibly relocated and incarcerated in internment camps. Let us never forget the injustices and suffering they endured, and commit to standing up against discrimination and racism in all its forms. ⁠

Last week I had the opportunity to share our work at LumenSparQ with a local chapter of the Rotary Club. It was a wonderful gathering of caring individuals passionate about helping others and being in service of others.⁠

We are so grateful to our supporters, both existing and new, for helping us reach our goal of getting books into the hands of every LMS Book Club member this year. ⁠

Our online campaign has raised $550, and we have received another $500 from family and friends. That leaves just $450 to reach our goal for the LMS Book Club. ⁠
