For the past twenty-seven years, Armando has dedicated his life to being a teacher and mentor to the students at Lennox Middle School. As a member of the award-winning Physical Education Department at Lennox Middle School, Armando has seen first hand how much of an impact caring teachers and extracurricular activities can have on students.
Armando is a firm believer in creating community and connections with his students. He believes that having a safe space to talk, share, and create is an essential part of every student’s academic experience. This belief has led Armando to coach soccer, sponsor numerous clubs (Comic Force, Warp!, Chess Club, Book Club, Yu Gi Oh! Club, Write On!), and participate in the school’s Adopt-a-Student program.
His commitment to offering students opportunities to grow has guided him to his involvement with LumenSparQ.
